What do we mean by Adaptation?
Adaptation is a process through which societies makes themselves better able to cope with uncertain future as a result of climate change. Adaptation to climate change entails taking the right measures to reduce the negative effects of climate change (or exploit positive ones) by making appropriate adjustment and change.  The most vulnerable sectors that needs to adapt to climate change are agriculture, coastal settlements and islands, health, transport and infrastructure, fisheries, biodiversity and forestry. These sectors are crucial, and the National Government through Office of Climate Change & Environment Sustainability & Carbon Trade is tasked to prepare for this uncertain future as a consequence of the effect of climate change taking place in the country.

Adaptation addresses a broad area of work covering eco-systems, agriculture, food security, health and education, technology, planning and financing, weather patterns and water resources, transport and other infrastructures, including energy as well as businesses management practices and tourism resources in all regions of the country, etc.
