OCCES donate vehicleOffice of Climate Change and Environment Sustainability (OCC&ES) Executive Director Dr Theo Yasause has donated his private vehicle to the Gerehu Police station in Port Moresby on Saturday (02nd May 2009).

Dr Yasause gave the vehicle to the local police officers as needed under Operation ‘Wok Bung Wantaim’ following his pledge that he had made during the launching of Operation on Friday at the Grand Palace restaurant in Gordons.

logoRecently there has been so much negative publicity in the media about the Office of Climate Change (“OCC”) by concerned groups. These groups fall into four (4) main Categories:

a).      Genuine and concerned citizens,

b).      Foreign Aid Funded NGO Groups (and their Foreign Lawyers),

c).      Twelve (12) out of twenty (20) Governors of Provinces led by Hon. Malcolm Kela Smith MP of Eastern Highlands Province, and

d).      Foreign citizens holding academic or public policy development positions in the country.

PAU first educational institution to visit OCCES PDF Print E-mail

The Pacific Adventist University (PAU) became the first tertiary institution in the country to conduct an awareness visit to the Office of Climate Change and Environment Sustainability (OCCES) yesterday (Wednesday 17th May, 2009).

At least 12-first year Education students majoring in Geography along with their lecturer Jones Taos met with OCCES Director – Climate Change Joe Pokana and Executive Manager for Climate Impacts and Adaptation, John Mosoro.
